In 1981, a family organisation was founded to deliver unrivalled PPE and Workwear products to key industries, nationally. Since that time, SMI has evolved to become one of the UK’s leading importers and distributors of Workwear & PPE. Retaining our family values, the third generation of SMI’s founders took over the business in 2011, and we have grown rapidly ever since.

TWO LEADING PPE BRANDS JOIN FORCES

In October 2021, SMI announced that Swift360 was joining the SMI family as part of our ongoing commitment to invest in innovation and continuous improvement. Since then, our dedicated teams have prioritised building a better business together, for you. 

In August of this year, we merged our offices into our NEW Corporate Head Office, located in Petersfield. This step was one of our many ways to drive the positive steps needed to streamline our processes, products, and services.
